    Barkan Superieur Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is from the Barkan Winery, the second largest in Israel. It was founded in 1990, and its head winemaker is Ed Salzberg. The Superieur Elite Series represents the pinnacle of achievement for Barkan wine production. This wine is made from top-quality grapes from four plots in Merom Galilee. The wine is aged in exclusive French casks for 21 months, and only a selct few barrels are used to make this wine. The color is dark garnet. The aromas are black cherry and fresh oregano. Gentle tannins underlay the cherry, cassis, mint, coffee and herbs. There is continuing complexity with an herbal and citrus finish. Wine Enthusiast has given this wine 89 points, and it has received Gold Medals from Vinalies and others.
