The Tabor Adama Cabernet Sauvignon from the Galilee, Israel is wine of nice medium purple color that lasts all the way through the wine and all the way to the rim. The main aroma is of burnt black fruit, almost like roasted blackberries, although there are also some notes of red fruit, perhaps a touch red fruits, like rapsberries and roasted blackberries. There are also some nice wood on the back, cedar and a touch of vanilla for sweetness. The wine has a medium to full bodied taste and the acid is very calm all the way through and to the finish. The wine holds that burnt blackberry flavor with a touch bitterness in it to the end. The Cabernet Sauvignon tastes great with roasted duck or lamb chops.
Tabor Winery is located in Kfar Tabor at the foot of Mount Tabor in the Galil. It is an estate winery led by winemakers Arie Nesher and Amir Sarig. The winery is known for its work with soil types as they affect the terroirs of the wines.
